We are doing a social rubbish pick up at Buckingham Reserve to celebrate Clean Up Australia Day. Come down for 10 minutes or stay until stumps! Meet us at Buckingham Reserve for some fresh air and good company. We’re supported on the day by Brimbank City Council’s Environment Department, which means we’re being treated to a BBQ!
Come down and lend a hand. You’ll be amazed at how big a difference we can make in a short time!
Bring your friends, family and neighbours down, the more the merrier. We’ll bring the rubbish kit including bags and pick up tools. Bring a hat, sunscreen and water and remember to wear closed shoes and long pants, we’ll be making lots of noise but best to be protected in case we meet any testy reptiles! Also, please bring your gardening gloves if you have them to protect your hands.
We have plenty of spots in Buckingham Reserve to concentrate on including some spots that extend both upstream and downstream along the Kororoit Creek. Bring your gumboots if you fancy helping along the creek bank as it can get muddy!
The signs are already out in Buckingham Reserve, advertising the day. So until then, do like we do and Take 3 For the Sea, and treat every day like it’s Clean Up Australia Day
