This guided citizen science event will focus on documenting insect species active at night using a technique known as lightsheeting - a LepiLED entomological (insect) light set up against a white canvas sheet to attract insects in a gentle, non-invasive way.

Every observation you make helps build a clearer picture of the rich (and often overlooked!) insect life in our area and highlights the way that the Bug Rug is helping the Kororoit Creek insect world.

Arrival: 8.30 pm (sunset 8.43 pm)
Start time: 9.00 pm
There will be some light after dinner snacks for participants at 8.30pm.
